This site presents an insight into the innovative new programme in Civil Engineering @ University of Limerick (CIVIL @ UL), which is built around three key thematic areas: Energy, Environment and Infrastructure/Building Structures.
The programme (CAO code LM085) is challenging and our learning-by-doing approach engages the students’ intellectual and physical energy in a creative and rigorous way.
Our Goal
CIVIL @ UL use a learning-by-doing approach to prepare the next generation of engineers to design and implement sustainable solutions to the many pressing physical development problems facing society.
To achieve this goal, our degree programme is built around the thematic areas of Energy, Environment and Infrastructure/Building Structures and we integrate technical expertise with research and communication skills from Year 1.
Graduates of CIVIL @ UL will therefore be in a strong position to meet the challenges of the 21st century, and contribute positively to making the world a better place.
CIVIL @ UL is a busy and exciting place. Use the navigation tabs to learn more about the CIVIL @ UL approach.
